Today is my fourth day in Oslo and I can genuinely say it is one of the most extraordinary places I have been. We arrived in in the city after a just barely making our second flight. After a long haul to our apartment we set rested for an hour, freshened up and then promptly walked to a huge Norwegian outdoor music festival. The Oya festival was a huge attraction and a great time. Highlights included; Belle and Sebastian rocking the stage for a full hour, The lead singer from the War on Drugs switching to a new guitar every single song, Courtney Barnett’s band who looked like they could have been triplets, and best of all Nile Rodgers and CHIC absolutely killing it with the oldies. The next couple days in Oslo we basically explored the city and ate good food. What struck me was how clean the city is, especially compared to NYC and all of the beautiful architecture. Tracy stopped every two minutes to take a picture of the different buildings. Other miscellaneous things we have done include: slack lining, eating amazing Indian food, visiting museums (we saw the famous Scream painting), going in adorable Scandinavian shops, walking by the water front and watching these cute people swing dance.
